Parnassos

The Parnassus is one of the highest mountains in central Greece with a maximum height of 2,457 meters. Parnassus is directly connected with Greek history and mythology, in particular with the Oracle of Delphi, which was built at the foot of the mountain. Since 1938, Parnassus is a national park with a territory covering an area of 3,513 hectares. The Parnassus Ski Center is the largest ski resort in Greece and operates from December to the beginning of May each year. It is located between the two highest peaks of Parnassus, Fterolakka and Kelarias and at an altitude of 1,600 – 2,250 meters. It is a center of attraction for hundreds of skiers and a particularly important advantage is the short distance from Athens, Patras and Lamia

Arahova

Arachova is a mountainous city built on the southern slopes of the Parnassus at an altitude of 950 meters. It is a famous winter resort thanks to the existence of a ski center and its short distance from Athens (153 km).

Arachova is 12 km from Delphi, located west and 66 km from our hotel.

The center of the city includes a huge and steep cliff, a bell tower covered by a thick ivy. At the top of the tower there is a large 10 m high clock. Arachova is famous for its black wine, colorful fabrics, rugs, local crafts and wooden creations.
